PURE ART
From a simple playful and craft activity, origami is actually used as a scientific and technological tool for projects in medicine, aerospace engineering, architecture, fashion and design; it is applied as a versatile didactic tool up to university teaching, and it is going through an intense artistic renaissance engaging artists all over the world, including the authors featured in this exhibition.
Origami, the ancient technique of folding paper, is known in Europe mostly as a recreational activity for children. During the last decades, however, it enormously evolved, extending its application in previously unimaginable fields.
